Award Categories and Criteria

1. Overall Eligibility for Awards:
Company or person must have substantial presence in El Paso County.

2. Restrictions on Nominators:
No restrictions on who may nominate a person or company. The Committee may cut-off nominations at any time after October 2nd, 2007.

3. Process:
The Committee's award decisions may be overturned by the board of directors. The awards will be made at the Celebrate Technology / Excellence in Local Industry Awards event on November 14th, 2007. The decisions are final and without appeal.

4. The specific awards categories are:

Entrepreneur of the Year (Individual Award) Recognizes achievement by an individual resident of Colorado Springs.

Colorado Innovation Award (Individual or Company Award) Recognizes innovation in the categories of Information Technology, Biotechnology/Biosciences, and Homeland Defense.
